This course aims to provide an overview of what is palliative care and practical tips for nursing home staff to provide end-of-life (EOL) care for their residents. 
 

Learning Objectives:

• What is Palliative Care and the Philosophy of Palliative Care 

• Common symptoms in Palliative and EOL care 

• Different cultural issues regarding death and dying 

• Practical tips for handling last hours and last office 

 

Target Learners:

• Registered and Enrolled Nurses, Nursing Aides, Healthcare Assistants; Allied Health and Administrative/ Operations staff with an interest in palliative care.

• Class size: 15-20 participants
